Moderator Content Guidelines

Please read the following updated moderation guidelines for consideration when moderating content. The guidelines will be revised over the coming weeks as we further define our content moderation standards.

If a violation does not match any of the preset tags, please select ‘Other’ and add the violation manually. Only one tag can be added at a time and should be limited to no more than 2-3 words.

There is a high volume of Japanese content (people of Japanese origin with pixelated genitalia) which depicts simulated rape/non-consensual acts. 
Our current moderation policy with regards to this specific content type is to APPROVE.

These guidelines are designed to be read alongside the Moderation Dashboard Guide which details how to correctly use the VerifyMyContent human moderation tool.

When using the VerifyMyContent moderation tool you will see both still images and video content, for one of two reasons:

1. The content has been flagged with a potential issue/s identified by our Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, or
2. The content has been sent for review for Quality Control purposes without any potential issues being identified

In both cases you use the same set of criteria to either Approve or Reject the content.

When you Reject content you will be asked to confirm or apply a TAG giving the reason/s for your decision.

PLEASE NOTE: FREQUENT USE OF #UNDERAGE TAG

Content will often be incorrectly tagged as #UNDERAGE. Please check content carefully before removing the tag to avoid incorrect approvals. We are working on improving the accuracy of the #UNDERAGE tag.

All content should be approved unless any of the following guidelines are broken:

UNDERAGE (children 0-17 years-old)

TAG: UNDERAGE

All content (images and video) that either exclusively or partially contains children must be rejected:

All content (images and video) that contains children whose faces are partially or wholly obscured must be rejected:

All content (images and video) that contains body part/s that certainly or almost certainly belong to children must be rejected:

All content containing ‘borderline’ children (e.g. 15-17) must be rejected:

ANIME & HENTAI

Anime: Anime refers to television animation of cartoon or manga series and Japanese film particularly aimed at adults as well as children. Some examples include Dragon Ball Z, Death Note etc.

If Anime content depicts children Reject:

Hentai: Hentai refers to the sub-genre of Japanese animation or manga that includes provocative material with very explicit images and plots. It is strictly prohibited for children and is aimed at adults only.

ILLEGAL ACTIVITY (Consent)

All content (images and video) where there is a very high likelihood that acts are not being simulated and all participants are not consenting to sexual activity must be rejected:

1. Rape or apparent rape
2. Other non-consensual sexual activity e.g. a participant is not making informed, rational decisions because they are clearly unconscious or very highly-intoxicated

All content (images and video) where there is an absolute certainty that acts are not being simulated and consent has not been given by all participants for it to be recorded and/or published must be rejected:

1. Secret recordings
2. Voyeurism
3. Hacking of electronic devices or personal accounts

ILLEGAL ACTIVITY (extreme pornography)

All content (images and video) where there is a clear and obvious threat to a person’s life (and portrayed in an explicit and realistic way) must be rejected:

All content (images and video) where an action is likely to result in serious injury to a person’s anus, breasts or genitals (and portrayed in an explicit and realistic way) must be rejected:
